MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Area Teachers CU, a $500 million credit union widely known as MATCU, is hanging out new signs to reflect its name change to Orion FCU.
Credit union officials attributed the name change to two things: first, last year’s switch to a federal charter, and second, the intent to notify potential members they no longer need to be teachers or part of the educational community to be eligible to join.
Memphis design firm Combustion helped develop the credit union’s new logo design and initial branding campaign.
