EVANSVILLE, Ind.--William Schirmer has been named the new president/CEO of the $840-million Evansville Teachers FCU following the retirement of Michael Phipps. Schirmer was most recently EVP/CFO at Lake Michigan CU, Grand Rapids, Mich.
In Shelton, Wash., Peninsula CU has named Jim Morrrell as its new president/CEO, replacing Steve Gorseth, who will retire in June. Morrell was most recently SVP with iQ CU.
In Merritt Island, Fla., Kennedy Space Center FCU said Maureen Lowe, who started at the credit union as a teller in 1981 and worked her way to the corner office, is retiring as CEO of the $580-million credit union. Lowe, 54, was named president and CEO in 2009.
In Billings, Mont., Valley FCU said it hired Michael Silvers, formerly COO of Pennsylvania's Patriot FCU, as president and CEO of the $170-million credit union. Silvers will succeed C.H. Steele, who has headed the former Farmers Union Coop for the past 26 years.
In Leominster, Mass., Leominster CU President Gordon Edmonds said he will step down Sept. 30. Edmonds has been CEO since 2007 and with LCU since 2001.
In Manhattan Beach, Calif., Kinecta FCU has named Keith A. Sultemeier as its new president/CEO. Sultemeier will replace Roger Ballard in the role; Ballard has been working as co-CEO of Kinecta FCU and NuVision FCU, which have called off merger plans. Ballard will return to NuVision as CEO. Sultemeier was most recently EVP with Security Service FCU, San Antonio.
