N.J. In A League Of Its Own

The CU Affiliates of New Jersey is believed to be the first state credit union trade association to change its name-- back to "league." The board of the state group voted Saturday to return to its roots and once again become the New Jersey Credit Union League.

The move bucks the trend of recent years when CUNA-affiliated state trade groups in Oregon, Arizona, Connecticut, and most recently, Pennsylvania, redesignated their organizations as other than "leagues."

The New Jersey board also voted to increase the frequency of its regular meetings to monthly from quarterly.
