North Carolina SECU Pledges $1 Million To New Hospice Project

RALEIGH, N.C. – State Employees’ CU said its SECU Foundation, which has been helping building a network of critical care hospices throughout the state, has committed $1 million to the construction of the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.

With this gift the project has raised more than $2.7 million for the 10-bed inpatient facility.

The facility will give area patients a choice of where to receive hospice, which is specialized care that emphasizes pain and discomfort management for terminally-ill patients who choose to stop receiving treatment for a cure.
