CLINTON, Md. – Three suspects who robbed a Navy FCU branch here yesterday morning dropped more than $100,000 in stolen loot as they made their getaway, but still made off with a substantial amount of cash.
The three men forced their way into the branch just before yesterday’s 9 a.m. opening and demanded money from the vault, according to police.
The suspects “implied” that they were armed, but no weapon was actually seen during the incident. An employee at the credit union complied, police said, and the three suspects fled.
Police recovered more than $100,000 in stolen money that one suspect apparently dropped, along with the vehicle used by the suspects, which had previously been stolen.
