WARNER ROBINS, Ga.—A man charged in an armed robbery of a branch of Warner Robins Credit Union here was caught in Brownsville, Texas, along with an accomplice.
Both men had reportedly already crossed into Mexico. Police said Anthony Scott Chairmont, 27, and John Welborn Smith, 56, both of Warner Robins, had earlier been tracked to Matamoros, Mexico, by U.S. marshals.
The men are also suspects in the robbery of two banks in Louisiana.
