WHITEFISH, Mont. – A teller at Whitefish CU last week was convicted of stealing $11,650 in unauthorized withdrawals from four members’ accounts.
Penny Rhine, 46, pleaded guilty to felony theft in state court. She is scheduled to be sentenced May 31.
The thefts occurred between Aug. 7, 2008 and Nov. 2, 2009.
Rhine entered her guilty plea as part of an agreement that calls for prosecutors to recommend a five-year deferred sentence.
