FAIRFIELD, Ohio Wright-Patt Credit Union here has become the first financial institution in the greater Dayton region to adopt new video teller services for its members.
These interactive tellers use a traditional ATM and combine it with a live teller via a video connection through a Personal Teller Machine (PTM). The first machines were introduced at a drive-through at its Springfield, Ohio branch.
WPCU said it is providing “concierge” service to introduce this new technology to members, with an employee is specifically assigned to show members how they can use PTMs for their basic, everyday transactions.
WPCU has purchased a total of 19 PTMs (known as APTRA Interactive Tellers by manufacturer NCR), which are part of a broader strategy by Wright-Patt Credit Union to expand geographically.
