Alliance Data Signs Credit Card Deal with RainSoft

The retail services unit of Alliance Data Systems (ADS) has signed a long-term agreement to provide a private-label credit card program for RainSoft, a company that sells water and air purification products.

Alliance Data will provide RainSoft cardholders with full account services, including online account management, customer service and marketing communications.

RainSoft, a division of Aquion and headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Ill., provides water and air purification products ranging from small, portable systems for homes and apartments to larger treatment systems for businesses such as hotels, hospitals and factories. The company’s products are sold, installed and serviced by more than 150 independent dealers in the U.S. and in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The agreement adds to Alliance Data’s goal of growing in the home improvement sector, the Dallas company said Tuesday. The company has recently announced a string of acquisitions and other agreements, including renewing deals to provide private-label credit card programs for retailers Crate & Barrel and Gardner-White Furniture.
