North Jersey Community Becomes ConnectOne

The $883 million-asset company said Thursday that it had changed its name to ConnectOne Bancorp. The Englewood Cliffs company also said it would change the name of its North Jersey Community Bank to ConnectOne Bank on Feb. 11.

The company will introduce a new look for its logo, website and social media presence in coming weeks. "ConnectOne reflects the essence of the bank's mission; a customer-first philosophy that governs everything from process to product innovation," Frank Sorrentino 3rd, the company's chief executive, said in a press release.

The company also said that it had hired Aditya Kishore to become its chief technology and operations officer. Kishore previously served as Carver Bank (CARV), where he was chief information officer and chief of operations. He succeeded Laura Criscione, who was named the company's chief compliance officer.
