Accenture (ACN) is offering two new software products to help banks integrate customer channels such as mobile, branch and online banking.
Accenture Multichannel Platform and Accenture Product and Fee Factory should help banks improve commercial offerings and reduce distribution costs, Accenture said Wednesday.
The multichannel platform is a Java-based software package that allows banks to develop applications that can be integrated across channels and back-end systems. A set of software components are layered over existing channel technologies or can be used to build new channels. Integration is enabled through a range of protocols including APIs and Web services.
The product and fee factory is a central platform based on Java technology that allows product managers to create new products and customized bundled offerings. The products are defined and configured through the platform, which sits on top of the bank’s existing systems. It eliminates the need to rewrite code each time a new product is developed or a set of products is bundled. The platform also does real-time analysis of customer transactions across product lines to calculate fees.
The new offerings are available as standalone products or in combination with Alnova Financial Solutions, an Accenture core banking application.
