ACH Payments to Move into Canada

ACH Payments is expanding its payment processing services to Canada in response to requests from its U.S. merchant clients that have Canadian customers.

ACH Payments, of Albany, N.Y., will initially offer only credit and debit card processing services in Canada, said Wayne Akey, its president. Many ACH Payments merchants use its services to manage recurring billing operations.

"This is completely driven by our vertical partners," such as alarm-monitoring services, Akey said. "They have established U.S. presences but have Canadian customers who they want to be able to bill efficiently."
