Allegiance Bancshares has hired a longtime Houston banker as its chief financial officer.
Larry Lehman has joined the $798 million-asset company, a spokeswoman said Friday. The position is new; the CFO duties had previously been handled by members of the executive team, she said.
Lehman has spent 29 years as a banker in Houston. Before joining Allegiance in May, he was corporate controller at Cadence Bancorp, which bought Encore Bancshares in Houston last year for $250 million. Earlier, Lehman was with Amegy Bank.
Allegiance's banking unit has seven branches in Texas.
