Bank of America Corp. said Monday that it is hiring 25 wealth-management advisers in the Southeast region, including in Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., and Nashville, Tenn.
The Merrill Edge Financial Solutions advisers will serve customers who have investable assets between $50,000 to $250,000, helping them to manage their banking and investment needs. The move is part of Bank of America's plan to nearly double its national number of financial advisers to more than 1,000 by the end of 2011.
Bank of America said it is adding additional rewards for customers who maintain at least $50,000 in deposit balances or investment balances with Merrill Edge. The company also introduced an application for mobile devices earlier this year and added about 500 new no-transaction fee mutual funds.
