Bank of the West Hires FBI Expertise

San Francisco-based Bank of the West hired Joseph Ford, a former associate deputy director of the FBI, to a newly created position of svp and chief security officer, charging him with the mission to implement an integrated security structure within the bank.

Ford has more than 30 years experience in the FBI, including a stint as special agent in charge of the FBI’s San Francisco office and as first associate deputy director in overseeing management of the bureau’s personnel, budget, administration and infrastructure. He also spent some time as the bureau’s CFO, managing a $4.9 billion budget. After he left the FBI, Ford was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
