California CU Picks Alerts Software

Premier America Credit Union has selected Optria Kinetique software to generate user-defined, real-time alerts to its members, the vendor Optria LLC in Orlando announced Monday.

The $1.4 billion-asset credit union in Chatsworth, Calif., had developed a proprietary alerting system but found it disabled when it decided to convert to a new core banking system, Shelley Hawthorne, Premier America's vice president of automated and remote services, said in the vendor's press release.

The credit union picked Optria because of the software's flexibility in selecting alerting events, which Premier America views as a competitive advantage for its members, Hawthorne said. "They can set a dollar or balance threshold, turn on or off the alerts they want to receive and determine how they want to receive the alerts, whether via e-mail or text message."

Kinetique software can initiate alerts on any event-based data element in an institution's core system, Optria said.
