Capital One Financial (COF) has a new chief of Canadian operations.
Shane Holdaway has been named president of Capital One Canada and will oversee the company's Canadian credit card portfolio, Capital One announced on Monday. He replaces Rob Livingston, who had held the job since 2010, a spokeswoman for the McLean, Va., company said.
Holdaway had worked for Capital One's U.S. card division, overseeing the company's relationships with payments networks, its underwriting and its Venture Card and Quicksilver Cash products. He joined Capital One in 2002 from the consultancy McKinsey & Co.
Holdaway "brings a wealth of experience in our credit card business, combined with a track record of exceptional people leadership, strategic agenda-setting and big results," Chris Newkirk, Capital One's senior vice president for international cards, said in the news release.
Capital One Canada offers MasterCard credit cards and Aspire rewards cards.
