Chase Paymentech Renews Deal with Scotiabank

Chase Paymentech has renewed a long-term exclusive referral and marketing agreement to provide Scotiabank's Canadian business clients with e-commerce and card-present payment processing options.

Under the renewal agreement, Chase Paymentech will continue to provide Scotiabank business clients in Canada with secure technology for processing payments, including countertop, mobile and integrated PIN pad point-of-sale products, e-commerce capabilities and gift card programs, Chase Paymentech said in late November.

Chase Paymentech will process credit and debit card payments while Scotiabank clients will be able to deposit payment transactions directly into their business accounts with access to their funds the next business day or sooner, Chase Paymentech said.

Scotiabank has been doing business with Chase Paymentech for the last 10 years, Alice Eastman, senior vice president of cash management and payment services for Scotiabank, said in a news release.

Chase Paymentech is a unit of JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and provides payment processing and merchant acquiring services.
