The global technology company said Wednesday that Conestoga Bank in Chester Spring, Pa., is adding two NCR's interactive tellers at its Bankwerx branch in Wayne, Pa.

Conestoga has 16 branches in the Philadelphia area, including two Bankwerx locations, which offer customers a choice of banking via a video teller, smartphone, laptop or customer service representative.

The bank purchased its existing personal teller machines from UGenius, a video banking vendor that NCR bought in December.

The machines, which connect customers to a remote teller via a live, two-way video and audio connection, speed transactions by roughly 33% compared with an in-person transaction, according to NCR. The machine is said to give the teller remote control of its functions.

"One of the best validations of new technology isn't the initial purchase by a customer, but rather when the customer comes back to buy that technology again," Brian Bailey, NCR's general manager of branch transformation, said in a press release. "Conestoga Bank has been a great innovator in the area of interactive video banking, and they are seeing strong adoption and high satisfaction rates among their customers."
