The Consumer Bankers Association has bulked up its staff, announcing four new hires across several areas.
Jean Marie Bunton has been tapped as vice president of communications and marketing, the group said Tuesday. Most recently Bunton was vice president of the external relations group for the International Center for Research on Women, a global think tank in Washington, D.C.
Liz Terry has been appointed as director of membership and philanthropy. She will head the group's corporate membership outreach and direct the Consumer Bankers Foundation's fundraising efforts. She previously worked at the Council on Foundations and the Tewaaraton Award Foundation.
Dong Hong has been named as a regulatory counsel and will focus on advocacy efforts for the group's members. Prior to joining the CBA, he served as counsel at Federal Financial Analytics and as litigation fellow with Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility.
Bill Hulse will serve as government relations assistant. He will support the association's government relations team with all legislative and regulatory functions.
"Our new CBA team members will help us to strategically address the issues of the day and meet the needs of our association's growing membership. I look forward to the energy, intelligence and innovation each will contribute to the organization," said Richard Hunt, the group's president and chief executive, in a press release.
