First American Bank & Trust in Athens, Ga., has a new chief executive.
The $465 million-asset bank has named Rhodes McLanahan CEO and president. McLanahan succeeded Bobby Heath, who remains the bank's vice chairman. Heath had been president and CEO since 1996.
McLanahan has worked at First American for 17 years, most recently as chief operating officer.

McLanahan's brother, John D. McLanahan Jr., is the chairman and general counsel of First American Bank's holding company, First American Bancorp. The McLanahans' father, John D. McLanahan, was previously the bank's chairman.
