Former CEO Ward Returns to InCard Board

John A. Ward 3rd, a veteran of the card and banking industries, has rejoined the board of Innovative Card Technologies Inc.

Ward was the Los Angeles company's chief executive from August 2006 to September 2007. In January 2007 he resigned as chairman of Doral Financial Corp. in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after he clashed with management over how the banking company should meet its capital needs. He has also been chairman and CEO of American Express Co.'s bank unit and CEO of the card business at a predecessor of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Ward's reappointment, announced Monday, expands the number of InCard board members to six. InCard provides security features for payment cards.
