ING Belgium Selects Infosys Core Banking

  • Wema Bank is not high on the international banking radar. The Belgium banking unit of ING Group (ING) has selected the Finacle core banking software from Infosys (INFY).

The Finacle core banking software can be customized to meet ING Belgium's ongoing operational, product and regulatory requirements, Infosys said Thursday. It also includes a common customer view across all products.

"With this partnership we are delighted to have expanded our European footprint in the BeNeLux market," Sanat Rao, vice president and global head client services for Finacle at Infosys. "We are confident that the enhanced core banking platform from Finacle will ensure ING becomes increasingly efficient, competitive and innovative across their operations."

Infosys was ranked No. 10 on Bank Technology News's 2011 FinTech 100 list. The list ranks the top technology providers to financial services companies.
