Innovest Names JPMorgan Exec as COO

Innovest Systems, a technology firm specializing in trust accounting and wealth management products, has named Glenn Schmidt as its chief operating officer.

Schmidt will oversee client service, operations and product development teams and help with strategic planning, the New York company said Wednesday. He had previously worked for Innovest in management and operational roles.

Before rejoining Innovest, Schmidt was vice president of product and platform for the trust and estates business at JPMorgan Chase (JPM). He previously worked as managing director of trust services at Charles Schwab (SCHW), where he was responsible for the launch of its trust outsourcing business, product development and trust operations.

"Innovest is committed to providing the best trust and wealth management platform possible. Glenn's extensive industry knowledge will be a tremendous asset as we continue to deliver on that commitment," William Thomas, Innovest's chief executive, said in a news release.
