Investment Firm Buys 5% Stake in LCNB in Ohio

Bank-focused investment firm Jacobs Asset Management has bought a 5.25% stake in LCNB (LCNB) in Lebanon, Ohio.

The investment firm and founder, Sy Jacobs, now own nearly 488,000 shares of the $940 million-asset LCNB, according to a regulatory filing.

Jacobs "is a very friendly, good shareholder of ours," LCNB Chief Executive Steve Wilson told the Cincinnati Business Courier. "Five percent is a very minor holding, but it's one we're glad to have."

LCNB agreed in October to pay $25 million for the $191 million-asset Eaton National Bank & Trust in Eaton, Ohio. It raised $28.7 million in a public offering to facilitate the deal.
