IronKey Inc. has started offering consulting services to help banks address fraud online.
The Sunnyvale, Calif., vendor's new Online Banking Customer Success group is headed by Glenn Cobb, director of professional services.
Cobb's "expertise in online banking security and IT infrastructures, and his prior experience in consulting, make him an immediate asset to our customer success practice as we seek to offer bank clients unique insights and actionable plans to prevent fraud," Arthur Wong, IronKey's chief executive, said in a press release Wednesday.
Cobb, who was recently hired by IronKey, was previously vice president of information systems for Tompkins Financial Corp. Before that position, Cobb was an information technology architect for International Business Machines Corp.'s global services business.
"With rapid growing demand for IronKey Trusted Access," which protects computers against the effects of certain malware, "many banks are asking for help on how best to protect their clients from account takeovers and differentiate their online banking offerings," Wong said in the release.
