MasterCard Inc. has appointed Steve Grigg president of its Access Prepaid Worldwide unit.
Grigg, who was chief information officer at Travelex, will start in his newly-created position in May, MasterCard said on Thursday. The Purchase, N.Y., company acquired the Travelex prepaid card program management business in 2011 and renamed it Access Prepaid Worldwide.
Grigg will be based in the United Kingdom and will report to Timothy Murphy, chief product officer for core products at MasterCard. Before joining Travelex in 2008, Grigg was the chief operating officer at VocaLink Ltd., an online and mobile banking technology provider.
Also on Thursday, MasterCard named Cathy McCaul as group executive of its Integrated Processing Solutions unit. She will report to Gary Flood, president of global products and solutions for MasterCard, and Rob Reeg, president of MasterCard Technologies.
McCaul joined MasterCard in March 2008 and led the global cardholder solutions business. In July 2010, she was named group executive of global products and solutions for U.S. markets.
The Access Prepaid unit focuses on consumer and corporate prepaid travel cards while Integrated Processing Solutions is a debit and prepaid processing platform.
