McAfee to Launch New Mobile Security Software

McAfee is launching a series of new mobile security features and privacy protection for different devices, data and applications.

New features for McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management software include email "sandboxing" for iOS that prevents corporate email from being forwarded from a personal mailbox and an Android and iOS application for blacklisting that allows an administrator to define a set of applications and block access. The features also provide bulk provisioning for Android and iOS that expedites the authorization of mobile devices to large groups of users.

The company also said Monday that it will release next month McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management 10.1. This will include an integrated secure container for Android that separates corporate email, calendar information and contacts from personal data.

McAfee, a subsidiary of Intel Corp., is based in Santa Clara, Calif., and provides security technology. It was named as one of Bank Technology News's Top 10 Tech Companies to Watch in 2012.
