Navy Federal Business Loan Program Poses New Banking Threat

The nation's largest credit union is pushing loan participations, which could help credit unions make more loans despite existing regulatory caps.

Navy Federal Credit Union in Vienna, Va., has released updated mobile banking apps for the iPhone and Android.

CapTech developed and project managed the mobile apps based on business requirements and designs from Navy Federal, CapTech said Tuesday. The updated apps provide members with a native experience to deposit checks, transfer funds and pay their credit card by using an iPhone or Android device.

Navy Federal has $49 billion in assets and four million members. CapTech is a technology consulting firm based in Richmond, Va.
