nCino Completes SOC 2 Compliance Certification

nCino has received a clean opinion with no exceptions noted during a recent SOC 2 compliance certification.

The audit, administrated by Assurance Concepts in St. Petersburg, Fla., showed that nCino's policies, procedures and infrastructure for data protection, security and confidentiality met or exceeded SOC 2's criteria, nCino said Thursday. The Wilmington, N.C., company provides cloud-based software for banks.

The certification applies to nCino's cloud-based bank operating system. The system, which works alongside a bank's existing core system, uses Salesforce to provide small and mid-sized financial institutions with transparency across relationship management, portfolio management, origination and internal policies, the company said.

"Meeting the demanding SOC 2 type 1 audit criteria is part of our ongoing commitment to help mitigate risks and ensure our clients' data is highly secured," Pierre Naude, chief executive of nCino, said in a news release. "Security has been an integral facet of nCino as a company, since the initial launch of our Bank Operating System, which is why we chose to go above and beyond regulatory requirements to complete the rigorous SOC 2 audit process."
