The Dayton, Ohio, automated teller machine company NCR Corp. signed a contract to service more than 2,500 ATMs for TRM Corp. of Portland, Ore.
NCR announced the three-year deal Monday.
TRM currently handles the servicing in-house but said it decided this year to outsource the work. "This move allows TRM to focus on our core operations," Richard Stern, its chief operating officer, said in a press release.
His company operates the country's second largest nonbank ATM network, with machines deployed at merchant locations around the country. It also puts photocopy machines at merchant sites. (Cardtronics Inc. of Houston has the largest nonbank network, with more than 25,000 machines.)
