Nomura Research Institute (NRI) is expanding its business in Europe with a new office.
The consulting and systems firm opened its first office in Luxembourg on Tuesday, it announced. This location will offer consulting services with a focus on European fund service providers and buy-side institutions.
This is NRI's third office in Europe, after London and Moscow, a spokeswoman said.
"With enhanced regulatory demands in the European market, financial institutions have a greater need for operational efficiency and support," said NRI President Europe Koji Hashimoto in the news release. "Our clients in this region will benefit from the added on-the-ground support and local access to our global compliance expertise."
