Regions Bank has launched new apps for the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry in addition to offering a new retina-display-optimized iPad app.
Included in all updated versions of the bank's mobile banking apps is access to its cashback rewards program, Regions, a unit of Regions Financial (RF), said Wednesday. The program allows checking account customers to activate special merchant offers, make purchases at those merchants using their Regions Visa CheckCard, and get cash deposited directly into their checking accounts. Through the mobile channel, customers can view new and existing cash-back offers and activate new offers.
"We have been listening to our customers' feedback and have significantly improved the speed, interface and functionality of our mobile apps," Chris Cox, head of Regions eBusiness, said in a news release. "These enhancements give our customers a simple, seamless way to bank — and a new, innovative way to save money."
