ROUNDUP: Bank of New York Exec Named CEO of Lead Bank

NEW YORK - Thomas A. Renyi, president of Bank of New York Co. and its lead bank, was named chief executive of the bank, as well. He continues as a director of both the parent company and the bank.

The company said J. Carter Bacot will continue as chairman of the parent company and its lead subsidiary.

Mr. Renyi begins his job as chief executive of the holding company's lead subsidiary on Jan. 1. The company has said Mr. Renyi will succeed Mr. Bacot, who is expected to retire at the end of 1997. This appointment is part of the orderly succession program, it said.
