Analytics firm SAS has taken on two new clients in the Russian banking sector, it announced Tuesday.
Home Credit Bank, Russia's private retail bank, launched SAS's system for automating marketing campaigns, called Customer Intelligence, the technology firm announced. The program allows banks to deliver targeted marketing materials to their customers.
Home Credit began implementing SAS's system in early 2012 and completed the launch in March.
Home Credit Bank chose SAS for its "cutting-edge functionality that could easily integrate with our internal platform and teams," says Jan Hurt, head of Home Credit's client-base department.
In addition, the Austrian bank UniCredit has begun using SAS's data-management system for its Russian banking operations, SAS also announced Tuesday. SAS's Banking Analytics Architecture provides business reports on a bank's operations to facilitate financial decisions, relationship management and compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.
UniCredit, the largest foreign bank in Russia, began the rollout of the new system in late 2012.
"SAS's powerful and scalable technology enhances and strengthens our data warehouse," Diego Rampoldi, UniCredit's head of information and communication technology, said in a news release. "Thanks to more efficient and faster business processes, we expect a quick return on our investment."
