S1 Using Econiq CRM Software

S1 Corp. has incorporated customer relationship management software from Econiq Inc. of Boston into its sales and call center applications.

S1, of Atlanta, said it is already offering its Sales and Service and Call Center applications featuring the Econiq capabilities through its Enterprise division.

The software lets bank employees note major events in a customer's life, such as marriage or the birth of a child, and then prompts them to ask questions about the changes that could yield cross-selling opportunities.

Neil Underwood, the general manager for the Americas with S1's Enterprise unit, said in a press release Thursday that the combined application "automate needs assessment in a natural, conversational way, personalizing the customer experience and building confidence in employees who often have little previous sales experience."
