TD Card Unit Signs Power Tool Partner

TD Retail Card Services said Tuesday it will issue credit cards on behalf of outdoor power equipment manufacturer Cub Cadet.

Under the agreement, TD will direct all aspects of the Cub Cadet Powercard with Cub Cadet's nationwide network of independent dealers. The card will offer a range of revolving and installment finance options for consumer and commercial accounts.

It is just the latest private-label card deal TD has signed with specialty retailers. Last week the Mahwah, N.J.-based unit said it inked a deal to work with a brand of Ashley Furniture Industries Inc.

The bank has also signed credit card agreements with a home furnishings and mattress purchasing cooperative, a retail jeweler and a recreational vehicle and cargo trailer manufacturer.

Bank parent Toronto-Dominion agreed in August to buy Bank of America's Corp.'s Canadian credit card business.
