Android Pay is now a payment option for users of the food-ordering apps Grubhub and Seamless, both of which are products of Grubhub Holdings Inc.
The addition of Android Pay as an in-app payment option is meant to cater to users' preference of ordering through their smartphones. The Android Pay button will appear in the Grubhub and Seamless apps for users who have already set up payment accounts with Google's Android Pay mobile wallet.
"More than 60 percent of our orders come through mobile devices and we are always looking for ways to make ordering from Grubhub and Seamless even more convenient," said Sudev Balakrishnan, senior vice president of product for Grubhub, in a July 12 news release.
