Retail ATM provider Cardtronics Inc. has renewed its service agreement with Target Corp. as the exclusive provider of ATMs for the national retailer.
The long-term renewal extends the Houston-based ATM owner and operator's relationship with Target, which was first established in 2001.
Cardtronics says it owns and operates 1,800 ATMs in Target stores in all 50 states, operating in the company's Allpoint Network surcharge-free ATM system.
Portions of the Target ATM portfolio are available to financial institutions seeking to increase brand awareness and surcharge-free access through the Cardtronics' branding program, the company stated in a Sept. 9 press release.
Minneapolis-based Target Corp. operates 1,799 stores and Target.com nationwide.
Cardtronics did not reveal the length of the new contract with Target.
