The Shazam PIN debit and ATM network has added the Independent Community Bankers Association of New Mexico to its client list.
The association chose Des Moines, Iowa-based Shazam as it preferred provider for ATM and debit card processing for its member banks, Shazam said in an Oct. 30 press release.
"It’s gratifying that the ICBA/NM chose Shazam as its preferred partner moving forward," Shazam president and CEO Paul Waltz stated in the release. "Deepening our partnership with the ICBA/NM signals our continued commitment of bringing the choice and flexibility community banks need to compete across the country."
Shazam Network was founded in 1976 and remains one of the last member-owned and controlled electronic funds transfer networks and processors in the industry.
The not-for-profit nature of Shazam Network ensures it never competes with the banks it serves, the company said.
