The Phoenix Group, a distributor of point-of-sale products and services, intends to purchase up to $6 million of Hypercom Corp.'s Optimum T4200 series of payment products for resale to its bank and independent sales organization clients in the United States, according to Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Hypercom. The Optimum T4200 series of terminals includes four devices, confirms a Hypercom spokesperson. "From our testing, [the series] seems to be well received in the market," says Scott Rutledge, Phoenix Group president and CEO. The O'Fallon, Mo.-based company's ISOs appreciate product lines that include a "low-end unit up to a high-end unit and everything in-between," he says.
