The tech consultancy firm FIME, based in Antony, France, has been qualified as a near field communication certification tester in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Laboratories in those regions can now perform certification testing of all NFC forms, including those utilized by EMV cards and mobile applications like Apple Pay.
With the advent of analog testing, device manufacturers now have the means to compare their devices' performance against NFC Forum specifications for all parameters, including RF performance, which is essential to ensuring a positive, consistent user experience, Paula Hunter, executive director of the non-profit association the NFC Forum, said in a press release from FIME.
FIME says it is one of the first third-party testers to achieve this distinction.
