HDFC And Jet Airways Strike Card-Installment Deal In India

HDFC Bank Ltd. and Jet Airways Ltd. have entered into an agreement that enables the bank’s credit cardholders to pay for tickets on installment, the India-based bank announced Dec. 15.

Under the agreement, consumers may pay for tickets purchased using HDFC credit cards at jetairways.com in six equal monthly payments.

The service is free, and cardholders pay no extra charges during the six months of repayment, HDFC noted in a news release. Customers must purchase their tickets before June 5 to qualify.

The offer is applicable only for tickets priced at of 1,000 rupees (US$22 or 17 euros) or more.

HDFC Bank issues both Visa- and MasterCard-branded credit cards. Jet Airways is India’s largest carrier with a 100 aircraft flying to almost 80 destinations worldwide.
