ICBA supports real-time processing through linked2pay engine

Four months after partnering with linked2pay's Bank Centric Payments platform, ICBA Bancard says it will support real-time posting of payments for community banks and their small business customers.

The payments services unit of the Independent Community Bankers of America will operate through linked2pay's white-label network to provide immediate payments through a single cloud-based software platform.

The service is also designed to help small-business customers manage cash flow and receivables, ICBA Bancard president and CEO Tina Giorgio said in an Aug. 3 press release.

In providing payments solutions for community banks, ICBA Bancard wants to offer those banks a new solution that will "help them better serve their small business customers and further establish community banks as the go-to partner for small-business payments solutions,” Giorgio added.

Through linked2pay’s real-time posting of funds functionality, community banks and their clients can immediately send and receive vendor payments, commission payouts and other payment forms in addition to sending or receiving real-time payments via e-mail or an application programming interface.

Upon acceptance, the payment posts in less than a second, ICBA says.

The Bank Centric Payments platform also offers ICBA Bancard clients and their small-business customers risk-managed registration, underwriting and delivery of Automated Clearing House, real-time payments, remote deposit capture and card transactions.

“We are excited to build on our relationship with ICBA Bancard and offer its member banks the necessary tools to underwrite and on-board business payment clients,” linked2pay CEO and chairman Jay McShirley said in the release.
