The crowdfunding site Kickstarter has adopted payment service Stripe for all of its transactions, replacing Amazon Payments.
Projects organized through Stripe will take "about two minutes," according to a Jan. 6
Kickstarter used Amazon Payments since a year before the crowdfunding platform's launch, and Amazon processed about $1 billion in Kickstarter pledges. Last year, Amazon discontinued the payments product Kickstarter used, according to the blog post.
Kickstarter says its fees will not change: a 5% fee to the platform for successful projects while Stripe will apply credit card processing fees between 3-5%.
