Mobey Forum makes changes at the top

Mobey Forum is naming a new executive director who will take over early next year, the global bank-driven technology association has announced.

Maikki Frisk, a tech executive with a diverse background in technology at startups and companies including Microsoft and Nokia, will assume the reins of the U.K.-based nonprofit organization beginning in February 2017, Mobey said Dec. 7 at its annual Mobey Day event taking place in Toronto, Canada.

Frisk will replace Sirpa Nordlund, who became Mobey Forum’s executive director in 2010. Nordlund, a longtime telecom and financial services industry exec, is moving to a key operations role at Nets Holding A/S, a Norway-based payments technology firm owned by a coalition of venture capital firms that’s eyeing an IPO.

Norlund is taking a position at the Nordic payments company Nets, which is in the midst of funding an expansion.

Frisk said she’s looking forward to expanding Mobey Forum’s reach across industry sectors, while continuing the organization’s efforts to drive collaboration between banks, technology companies and financial institutions through its series of regional forums, surveys and research.
