NCR in marketing pact with food service operator

NCR Corp. has entered a strategic referral relationship with Performance Food Group Co. (PFG) to promote NCR’s payments services to hundreds of restaurants via the food service operator’s 36 national distribution centers.

PFG will refer customers to NCR Silver, NCR’s cloud-based payment system that enables restaurants to accept mobile payments, offer targeted consumer promotions and keep track of store sales, inventory and employee schedules, according to a Friday press release.

Richmond, Va.-based PFG simultaneously is integrating its own order management system with NCR Silver, so its restaurant customers may use the platform to order food and food-related products, NCR said in the press release.

“Working with PFG supports our strategy to put intuitive and comprehensive technology in the hands of independent restaurateurs who need all-in-one solutions so they can focus on their customers,” said Colin Armbruster, NCR Silver’s director of global channel, in the release.
