Payment Processor Allifide Partners with PCI Compliance Provider

Security services firm ControlScan has partnered with payment processor Allifide Merchant Group to provide small and medium-sized businesses compliance services for Payment Card Industry security standards.

Atlanta-based ControlScan’s services include education and support to help merchants attain PCI compliance, while providing Buffalo, N.Y.-based Allifide with a “PCI Dashboard” that gives insight into merchants’ progress—methods that ControlScan said improve compliance by saving merchants time and reducing confusion.

The PCI compliance services also include the ability to track and monitor communication and support with individual merchants, allowing ControlScan to make adjustments to its offering to address any specific needs of the Allifide client base.

SMB merchants are considered a high-risk population for data breaches. According to the results of a recent survey conducted by the National Cyber Security Alliance, Internet connectivity has become an imperative for U.S. small businesses, yet most companies lack formal policies for Internet security and even fewer have contingency plans in the event of a security breach that could expose payment-card and other data.
