Payroc adds mobile payment acceptance via app, card readers

Payroc has introduced a mobile acceptance program leveraging iTransact, a Utah-based mobile payments technology firm it acquired last year.

The Tinley Park, Ill., payments processor said Tuesday that it is rolling out iTransact Mobile Merchant with support for iOS and Android devices and an optional card reader that supports EMV via Bluetooth connectivity.

The service works with Payroc’s iTransact gateway and PayFac platform to enable payments online and at a virtual terminal, with support for recurring billing and electronic invoicing, Payroc said in a press release.

Payroc launched the service in response to merchants’ demands for omnichannel payment acceptance, Jared Paulson, its chief product and technology officer, said in the release.
