Revel Systems is about to expand a program it’s created at several U.S. airports enabling shops and restaurants to seamlessly integrate business travelers’ checkouts with a mobile app from Expensify, a top corporate travel expense-reporting software provider.
The service launched narrowly last year at some airport shops in San Jose and Minneapolis, enabling Expensify users to send details of purchases directly to Expensify’s platform.
Revel has now signed a partnership with leading airport retail company Pacific Gateway to significantly expand its integration with Expensify to cover more shops at San Jose International Airport, and introduce the service to shops at New York’s LaGuardia and Houston’s George Bush International Airport, the three San Francisco-based companies said in a March 15 press release. Within the next two years, Pacific Gateway plans to add shops in San Francisco International to the program.
Merchants in the program include Peet’s Coffee, Jamba Juice, Where Traveler and Tumi, according to the release.
Expensify provides a mobile and web app that automates the expense reporting and processing that integrates with major corporate accounting software programs, the release said.
“Our partnership with Revel and Expensify is modernizing and enhancing the travel experience, helping us create a seamless customer experience for business travelers,” said Joe Waller, Pacific Gateway’s CEO, in the release.
